Branding Free is a product on vBulletin where you can pay over $200 to remove the information about the forum being powered by vBulletin.

A lot of paid software has this feature, not just vB.

I've never really understood it. Why remove the branding? No one is really looking at it.

In my opinion, the only reason to use the brand-free option is if you're running a large business with vBulletin and want to prevent customers or employees from reaching out to vBulletin for support. Otherwise, I just don’t see the point!

I never thought about people mistakingly using the VB link to get support.

I always figured people just wanted the software to look like it was part of their business or main website.
