How many domains do you use for you forum?

Some forum owners will purchase multiple domain names and redirect them to the main forum domain.

For example, let's say you own forum.com, but you have forum.org and forum.net redirecting to the .com version.

Do any of you do this at all? Do you have other domains pointed at the main domain that are not exactly related to the main domain name? Do you think this is an important step of forum owners?

Usually, I try to take .com, .org, .net, and for work projects .de and .at also.

Honestly, it's silly but I do it anyway.
