    Member Pronouns Option

Pronouns are a popular thing on many social media platforms.

This is the he/him, she/her, etc.

Is this an option you add to your forum? Why or why not?

Note: It's understandable that this may cause a debate. Please be respectful about it.

We just had a go-around with this at the company I work for. Some people added their pronouns to their profiles quietly and without any fuss, and it sent some of the later-in-career employees over the edge. Honestly I don't see what the fuss is about. If you want to add pronouns, do it and just don't make a big deal about it. If you don't want to, then just don't do it - but again, don't make a big deal about it.

On the other hand, if people get preachy and righteous about it (using ridiculous ones that have been created since people got bored during quarantine), I tend to just ignore them altogether. If you can't communicate like an adult, that I just won't communicate with you. 🤷‍♂️

In the end, live without being annoying and let live without being annoying.

      I agree.

No one is being forced to use pronouns. Don't use them if you don't like them, or use them if you want to.

I think we do better when we're all nice to each other.
