    Big Forums and Big Cliques

Do you think big forums have big cliques that make them seem unfriendly and hard to be active on?

I mean, when a forum has been around forever, it's bound to grow communities within the main community that turn into a clique.

How do you all feel about this?

Absolutely. This is my main issue with Xenforo support forums. They have a bizarre hierarchy of fanboys that insult and complain constantly and I don’t understand why they haven’t been booted. The useless negativity is bad for a brand and for a community.

While I've not encountered it yet on vBulletin, I've noticed that it's a common theme on software support forums.

One common reason is because they've dealt with the same questions over and over again for all these years which I don't find a good excuse. It you want people to choose your platform over another, don't be a jerk, it's really that simple.

If the roles were reversed and they were the ones getting bullied, they'd feel the same way as the ones they're currently bullying.
